CHANGE MANAGEMENT
EVIDENCE OF SUCCESS
"Change management is littered with the kind of high-powered books of business thinking you see people reading in airport departure lounges.
But theory is one thing. What happens in the real world is another. The project detailed below shows the difference you can make to your working methods, to your customers and to your
bottom line."

BIM for a UK Housebuilder
The challenge
Our client, McCarthy & Stone, needed to develop and introduce BIM (Building Information Modelling) into its organisation – in other words, establish standards, gain value from a 3D building model, enable key information, and identify and replace multiple unmanaged information stores with a single source of design, development and project specific information. They also needed to understand the breadth of the concept and its benefits: BIM is more than a building model or a specialist app. The new approach needed to be adopted by people at all levels both within the company and in its supply chain.
The solution
Working with the client we developed and delivered a comprehensive Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital construction strategy.
The strategy defined design standards, articulated new ways of working. Introduced a central and collaborative online repository for group-wide product standards and specifications as well as information specific to individual building projects.
The model also incorporated an efficient and detailed cost and planning tool enabling valuable information from product through to asset management.
The result
Implementation of the strategy has been recognised as industry leading by our peers. It's streamlined operations and generated multi-million pound savings for our client. The improved quality of information has enabled our client to innovate and to create high-quality buildings its customers are proud to call home.
